Our Instructor Model: Expertise Meets Opportunity
Our hands-on workshops are a core element of our brand, empowering students for personal growth and entrepreneurship. We are currently seeking passionate Independent Contractors to teach our specialized curriculum in Calgary and via our Regional Partner Program.
Model Feature | Description | Rationale |
Compensation | Instructors receive 25% of the total revenue generated by the class (excluding the cost of ingredients and venue rental). | This performance-based model ensures a direct financial incentive tied to class success and maximizes profitability for the business. |
Status | You are engaged solely as an Independent Contractor (Freelancer). You are responsible for your own taxes (GST/HST, income tax, CPP, EI) and insurance. | This is non-negotiable for legal compliance in Canada to mitigate misclassification risk. |
Commitment | Teach a minimum of 2 courses per month (average 4–6 hours per class). | Ensures consistency and reliability for our seasonal scheduling needs. |
Venue | Classes are hosted in pre-approved commercial kitchen spaces (rented schools or community centres). | Guarantees compliance with Alberta Health Services (AHS) and City of Calgary regulations for group instruction. |
